NORTHWEST GAUL. Aulerci Eburovices. Circa 60-50 BC. Hemistater (Electrum, 18 mm, 3.33 g), 'au sanglier' type. Celticized head to left, with a large cheek and triangular-shaped eye. Rev. Hose galloping to right; above, bird standing right; below, boar standing right. DT 2404. Scheers, Eburovices, series Id, class II (?), 34-41. Beautifully toned and with a wonderful reverse. Minor areas of weakness and with a thin flan crack, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
